Northampton Female Support Worker
We are seeking to recruit a support worker who can encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support.
You’ll also need to be enthusiastic, have a good sense of humour, be person centred, a good communicator, good listener, creative in terms of activities, calm, positive and a team player. Experience is desirable but not essential. A driver is also essential.
You will support one lady living in her own home who is quite independent, she has learning disability and challenging behaviour but matched with the right staff she can be very calm and sociable. In this role, you will support the individual to develop skills in aspects of daily living such as cooking, cleaning and shopping. You will also help her to engage in house chores, social and leisure activities in the community, which might include bowling/cinema.
Your manager will work alongside you to help develop your practice, gain an understanding of everyone you work with, and create positive person- centred solutions which enable individuals to live fulfilled day to day lives.
